Special event at South Pine Museum

On Saturday the 23rd of July 2005 the Pine Rivers Museum opened another display, this one being called “Pioneering the Pine”. It was about the four families that pioneered the Pine Rivers area or district.

The McKenzie (Scottish), Davis (Irish), Ebert and Leis (German). Marie is a part of the Ebert family. A spokesman and spokeswoman spoke a little of their families background. Below is Henry Ebert doing his little talk. Each one was interesting and was well received. There was a morning tea which could have been called a lunch because there was plenty of food available. Marie's sister Judy does volunteering work for the museum.
