Football Grounds – Geelong Cats

I hope to give some brief information about football grounds in Australia. It's a pity I had not taken photos over the decades of all the grounds I have seen football played at. Since about 1956 when I first saw games at the Sandgate Football Club in Brisbane. I now have a digital camera so it's so easy to take photographs. I take a series of images and using The GIMP I make panoramic images by joining the images together. This one was difficullt to work on, joining the images together.

This is a photo as I have edited when I visited Geelong in April 2012.

This is looking south eastwards. The southern goal posts can just be seen and is where a new grandstand is being constructed. If you look closely one can see the scoreboard to the left hand side of the eastern grandstand. I was not able to checkout the “club house” but I should think that it would be similar to other big footy clubs.
