Football Grounds - Aspley Hornets
I hope to give some brief information about football grounds in Brisbane. It's a pity I had not taken photos over the decades of all the grounds I have seen football played at. Since about 1956 when I first saw games at the Sandgate Football Club. I now have a digital camera so it's so easy to take photographs. I take a series of images and using The GIMP I make panoramic images by joining the images together.

This is a photo as I have edited when I watched a game in 2007.
This is looking to the south towards thee Aspley Bowls Club. The southern goal posts can just be seen just right of the left hand goal post. If you look closely one can see the scoreboard between the left hand side behind and goal posts. The club house is a modern well appointed building, one of the best in Brisbane. This year Aspley seniors team has been promoted to the Senior/Division one of the AFLQ.
