Windsor – Windsor Zillmere – North Brisbane – Zillmere Eagles
This
club has had an interesting history. Formed many decades ago and now
in 2005 named the Zillmere Eagles. Us oldies can remember the Eagles
chant by the people on the scoreboard hill at Beavis
Oval, Mayne's ground for decades. Those
were the days!
Its club and ground is in a Brisbane northern suburb about 15km north, called Zillmere Eagles.
They
wear a new jumper similar to the AFL West Coast Eagles. I went to a
pre-season game this year at Wilston-Grange and the players wore a
temporary jumper. The photo above here
shows Danny Dickfos at three quarter time.
The next photo on the left I took at Morningside's ground which shows two players wearing the new jumper.
